We produce analysis on complex risks to inform decision-making, using methods that capture non-linear climate-driven risks. We use this analysis to provide training and tools to build capabilities for accelerating climate action through an increasingly unstable future. Our work is useful for governments, businesses, and civil society.

We are responding to a widespread under-estimation of climate risk and its implications for climate action. As the consequences of climate change escalate, they will present complex threats and opportunities for rapid climate action. There is an urgent need to develop capabilities to manage this situation so that climate action is not derailed by spiralling consequences. SCRI helps do this.

We are a ‘think-and-do’ tank with a dedicated staff and a network of partners across academia, policy research, and climate action. We are currently hosted by the Institute for Public Policy Research and are partnered with leading organisations in research and practice.
